Gymkhana sub Event

Gymkhana is all about time, speed and car control in tight track setup. Gymkhana RC however is practiced in slightly different manner. It is very rare to witness it in a very tight track setup, instead it is largely loose but yet speed is maintained at high flow as much as possible.

Run Down

Two opposing cars run simultaneously, preferably on a symmetrical track. If symmetrical track is unavailable, a single track would be fine to be used but that will eliminate the sense of 'one on one' rush. The organizer will determine how the run will be carried out but basically both cars will go through the same amount of track. The cars will go from behind start lines and finish on each other starting line. The run recommended is 2 times with each starting on both side of the track. Additional run will be awarded in the case of non clear winner as tie breaker. Obstacles will compose of a 180 turn, 360 turn, chicanes and figure 8 distributed along the track.

Scoring

No scoring, whoever reach the finish line first, wins.

Penalties

+5 secs (if timed) or +1 penalty if a cone is hit
+10 secs (if timed) or +2 penalty if obstacle is missed

Result

Winner will be whoever finishes first in the most number of runs carried out.

Dorifto Attack sub Event

Dorifto Attack

It is basically time attack event but has to be done in drifting.
Total time will be recorded and winner would be the quickest time holder without penalty.

Run Down
Track will be set up for single participant run.

The run will start and finish at the same point, but time counting will start in staggered mode (while car is running pass the start line).
There will be 2 consecutive non stop runs,
first the dry run, car start slightly in front of the starting line, when passing the start/finish line to make lap 1, the time recording will start.
Time ends when car completed the lap 2.
Time will be recorded using Lap Counter to ensure accuracy.

Scoring
recorded time via lap timer.

If there are 32 participants, the event could be divided into 3 stages:

Stage 1:
all 32 participants clock in their time, bottom 16 will not be able to proceed.

Stage 2:
all 16 participants clock in their time, bottom 8 will not be able to proceed.

Final Stage;
all 8 remaining participants clock their time, winner is the quickest.

Tie breaker:
in case of same amount of time to qualify for the next round, there will be an additional run(s) to determine who qualify for the spot.
Best time wins.

Penalties
Run will be considered void (0pt) if the car is deemed to be not drifting.

Result

Drifter with the quickest lap time and no penalties wins.

Penalties
Run will be considered void (0pt) if the car fail to reach finish line immediately after knocking down pins.

Result

total of 3 runs will be the result.
top 5 result will go to final round, winner will be highest total score holder.

100pts box (W x L, 25 x 50cm) placed in the middle of 50pts box (W x L, 75 x 100cm),
placed in parallel, across the track. Car parking with nose facing the corner barrier/wall.

Scoring
Car parked exactly within the 100pts box gets 100pts.
